Measuring Your Wall
Standard Walls
- Measure the entire width of your wall from one edge to the other.
- Measure the height of your wall, excluding any baseboards or trim.
- Since walls are rarely perfectly square, measure the height on both the left and right sides. Heights can often vary.
- If the two heights are different, use the greater of the two measurements.
Sloped Walls
- Measure the width and height of your wall as you would for a standard wall, ignoring any slopes. No need to revisit high school geometry to calculate angles!
- To ensure the most accurate results, your wallpaper will be provided as a full rectangle. Any excess can be easily trimmed away during installation.
Walls with Obstacles
- Measure the full width and height of your wall as you would for a standard wall, ignoring any obstacles like windows, doors, or outlets.
- During installation, you will trim around these obstacles, removing any excess material.
Measuring Tips
- For the most accurate measurements, use a good metal measuring tape that is long enough to measure the entire wall.
- You know how the old saying goes – measure twice, cut once! The same rule applies when measuring for your wallpaper or mural. We can’t stress enough the importance of double-checking your measurements.
